When we talk about fast paced or slow paced we're talking about two different aspects of reading pleasure. It's pleasurable to get swept along by a torrent of events but it's also enjoyable to feel like you can really get to know a place in its people and i think that's one reason why people flock to these giant fantasy doorstoppers which often feature either pros or storylines that move at a more leisurely pace. "As a reader i want things to be more like real life where sometimes you're just sitting in a room for four hours"
