The Nature of Samsara
What arouses this intensity for us is understanding the very nature of this process of living, of life. What is required of us is a very courageous effort. From the moment of birth to the moment of death, it is this inexorable process of arising and vanishing beings coming into birth, growing old, decaying and dying. And there is no way to stop that process. That is the nature of it. Within this process of birth, decay and death, there is no place to rest. We can say, okay, stop for a while. I'd like a little vacation from this. It's not like that. The nature of samsara is this continual arising and vanishing and changing
