We Were Just, You Know, We Fail Sometimes
Our job as an intelligence analyst is to present our analysis as persuasively and effectively as we possibly can. You have to take into account the cognitive disposition of the person that you are briefing or that you are writing for, and present shade the truth in such a way that they are more likely to hear it, to receive it, to understand it. We we just, you know, we fail sometimes. To uncover truth, probably often to uncover truth. And even when we have truth, the phrase implies we speak truth to power and power stops. Or it is completely ok and well within the way our government is supposed to function.
