'37 Days of Peril'
Everts disappeared into the wilderness 37 days before he was found. He survived on thistle roots, minnows and a snow bird smashed between two rocks. His story would help grow interest in yellowstone but most promotion came from Nathaniel langford who promoted its need for protection. The northern pacific railroad made it possible to makeYellowstone accessible by public transportation. In 18 71 congress passed bill creating yellowstone national park with astounding speed.
