The Pseudonym of Dionysius
The works of Dionysius had become standard texts in Christian medieval theology. By the 13th century, no less a thinker than Thomas Aquinas was writing commentaries on Dionysius. His influence can be discerned not only in the writings of theologians and philosophers, but even in the design of Gothic churches.
