A resume has been the fastest, most standardized way to take a huge pool of applicants and narrow them down. Traditionally, it has been one single thing, speed. But here lies the issue with resimes. There is a very real trade off of speed, and that's context and personality. What if someone isn't a great fit in their last job, so little got done, but they could be agreat fit in this job?
Resumes have barely changed since 1482, when Leonardo da Vinci wrote a letter to the Duke of Milan. That is freakin wild. Today, I explore the purpose of the resume and predict how it may evolve in the future.
