"I identify intensely with many of the behaviors that I identify as problematic," she says. "As a parent, I am absolutely culpable and this stuff is hard." Social pressure can make it harder for parents to let their kids do what other children are doing in school or at sporting events like music lessons -- even if they're just playing video games. She adds: "These are fundamentally group problems ... It has to be something that we kind of deal with together as a community"
