How to Make a Big Course Feel Small?

Computer science at stamford had a really bad cheating problem. The way it's set up is that you give the big lecture to all 500, and then two other days a week there in section and pods of ten. These are not graduate p h g students who are just trying to fut their bill as they do their research. They are undergraduates who have a very differet motivation.
