The only thing that's maybe too optimistic in this novel though i think it's appropriate for the characters and the time is that he he often references late capitalism. He keeps writing September 11th as 11th September the way a european would have to as almost putting the 1-1 first. If you read 9-11 the way pinching writes it 11th September 11-9 i believe is the anniversary of the nazi beer hall push oh wow that's so scaryYou know there are these two 9-11s that maybe had some like nazi some deepDeep Reich behind them.
