The Epic of Gilgamesh discusses themes of the Great Flood, but also many other important themes that seem to have been meaningful to the people of Sumeria, Babylonia, and Assyria. It suggests there was some sort of Assyrian belief that if a person was not properly buried, they would bring some sort of bad spiritual presence to their old home. And hence, maybe for this reason, Senecaerab felt that he couldn't remain in his father's palace, and so he made Nineveh the new capital.
