The United States and China in the World Trade Organization
The United States tried to reach out to China and say look, we're the offer is essentially you can become a stakeholder in this existing order that doesn't require countries to protect all of their supply lines. I think that trust is going to be extremely hard to build back up and we actually want to carve out our own system we didn't have. And so it's just, you know yes there are securities dilemma but at a certain stage you have to recognize that a country just views its interest that it's a revisionist power and wants to fundamentally change this system.
