How to Refer a TIA Patient to a Specialist
All TIA's should be referred for specialist assessment and investigation within 24 hours. ABCD2 score to determine how quickly they were seen, but that is out of there in the 2019 guidance. In southwest where I'm at, there does appear to be pretty good structure for referring TIA patients. Rob: Some ambulance trusts have embedded aspirin into their TIA protocols.
