The Ministry of Deacons

I think each congregation is just going to have to decide for itself how much of its resources does it want to optimize their own ministry by people being dedicated full time. I still see an advantage to cost benefits fine, but on the benefit side of having volunteer non-paid deacons continue to do this sort of work. You are equipping, you are training the members of your church and you're saying you don't have to go into vocational ministry in order to model this kind of service among your brothers.
