The Fed's Nationalization of Money Creation Under CBDC
The Fed has been opening up its balance sheet to money market funds. CBDC is different in kind in the nationalization of money and it crosses a Rubicon, says Julian Zelizer. It's establishing a direct relationship between the Fed and people and household. The state would have more and more control over money creation.
