Is There a Scenario Where Democrats Say He's Our Speaker?

Boehner could reach out to Democrats and say, I need ex-emmer votes to get this debt limit through. He'd never again be nominated by his caucus. And then it would just be open warfare between the Freedom Caucus and him. So he may keep the speakership entitled, but he would not have any power. But he could prevent a worldwide. calamity and move on.
