Logos, the Greek Word of the Classical Period
Heraclitus's unity of opposites has a menistic ring to it, though clearly not some kind of static monism where nothing ever changes. But Heraclitus does tell us here that despite the tension of all the opposing forces at the heart of his thought, there is in some sense a unity of all things. Fragment 50 tells us, it is wise listening not to me, but to the logos to agree that all things are one.
