Is Human Intelligence an Emergent Property?
Human intelligence is an emergent property of our bodies and our minds, or, if you like, our brains. We still don't really have a good way of measuring how emergent a phenomenon is in a physical system. This is actually where physics might come in, because statistical physics can contribute a lot to understanding collective behavior and emergence. It's almost inconceivable that we don't appeal to something like emergency understand what's going on here.
