She looks like a primitive aircraft coming apart, a soft, disintegrated, blario monoplane. Despite all these versions of her, Fuller's visual legacy is hard to reconstruct. Her costumes were among the modernist motifs invoked by Lady Gaga and as we know, Taylor Swift.
