The Five Attributes of Being a Leader
There's a set of attributes that are called the big five in psychology. And they have to do with things like enthusiasm, which is translated into how much do you care and take an interest in other people. But then what happens is there's a neurotransmitter called dopamine. And it basically makes you highly attuned to rewards. Being in a position of authority means that you start to narrow your view from everyone's interest matter to what is it that I can benefit from? How does this help me accomplish my goals? So actually being a leader is this internal battle between the kind of outward other orientation that lots of leaders have,. And then the forces that come with just being in that leadership role
