The Sixth Circuit's Decision in the Case of Remo Policelli
Chief Justice Roberts wrote the opinion of the court. He says, for as long as Americans have had to pay taxes, at least some have tried to avoid them. The government thought that Remo Policelli was hiding $2 million in back taxes. They issued a summons to their banks asking for bank records from his wife and his law firm.
