Is There Ambiguity in Myths?
If it exists in an oral tradition, you can insert any character to it. My main focus really was looking at how myths were conduits for the conversion from paganism to Christianity. They provided this infrastructure through which to deliver a new ideology to people. With myths and stories like that, they often seemed to rehearse whatever code it was by which they were living. It was rehearsals of a certain code of living.
