There's two roots really in the history of you know scholarship on can with respect to the critical problem. The Analytic which is most famously taken up by P.F. Strelson in his book The Bounds of Sense and the Idealist which I think is best taken up by Omri Allison in the book Kant's Transcendental Idealism.
