The programs weren't necessary. They did harm, not good, but how anybody now can look back and try to be surprised that this was going on is ridiculous. Nobody in Congress should be shocked to discover that people committed fraud or abused the COVID relief programs. In fact, when these programs were first announced on this podcast, I went over all of the fraud and abuse that I knew was going to come.
