The Importance of Naming Things Properly
The moment when Ethereum proof of stake went live, I actually felt weirdly emotional more than I thought I would have. It's almost like it's an analog to the scientific process of kind of feeling in the dark when you can't see and into a space that no prior human beings have explored. One of the things that's really interesting about that process is this question of defining the language we use to describe these things. The language then informs the mental models that we think in and everyone else who comes in after us thinks in.
