The Day of the Lord as Sacrifice

Yahweh is fighting to claim a new global promised land in which he will settle the faithful remnant. Those from Judah, following Baal, were now the object of divine curse just as the Canaanites had been in the initial conquest. The faithful remnant would survive Yahweh's day of wrath and experience the blessings of a global conquest.
