CRISPR Cas9 and the Human Side of Things
CRISPR can be programmed to target specific stretches of genetic code and to edit DNA at precise locations. Unlike other genome editing, where you might get random cuts in different locations that you aren't sure where it's happened, this could be dangerous if done on a human. One of the most famous uses for CRISPR Cas9 is treating something called sickle cell disease.
