Is There a Difference Between Symbolic and Diabolical Readings of Gender?
I think there's a lot of ways in which what you're doing in this book, and particularly the way you handle Genesis. For me, Genesis 3 is really provocative. But as you come towards the end, I think the idea of the difference between symbolic and diabolic readings of gender could be an interesting route to go. It seems to me it's very hard to have that conversation about our modern understanding of gender without thinking about the material conditions within which it's arising.
