i think we invent a lot of things to talk about as a way of not talking about other things that are more difficult and more real. We're engaged in this kind of really, almost entirely symbolic, a cultural politics that doesn't have much to do with how the government is run. The trumpers were actually pretty good exam le a, a way of unveiling that among republicans.
