The story of the maana is one of the old stories of india. Lachman was a young incarnation of god, like christ, but he was in a different uga. He described what the illusion seemed like to him in these various ways. The divine mother unless she moved by sympathy, steps aside the jeva and never sees his lord. In other words, it's only when the illusion is lifted that you can see how it really is.
