The Rise and Fall of Friendster
Friendster was created by Silicon Valley software engineer Jonathan Abrams in March 2003. Each user set up a profile page that included photos, interests and basic information about themselves. Like Match.com, Friendster had already seen a slew of websites try to mimic it. E-universe CEO Brad Greenspan wanted to find a way to attract users of their own.
