The 20 19 tory manifesto promised to solve the u k' housing crisis with major planning reforms and pledges to build 300 homes a year. Instead of major policy form the johnson government pledged this week to extend the right to buy council holmes to those living in housing associations. The p m also pledged a mortgage rview to help hi get on the ladder without a huge deposit. Announcing this new policy, michael gove insisted it went beyond a few pilots and would tie into other measures the government is doing to s the crisis. But what we're announcing today is also linked to legislation that we introduced yesterday to a insure that we can improve the supply of housing.
