The Importance of Coercive Power
As a child i'm much more sympathetic to the augustinian radicalism and one of the reasons is because they tend to build these little tiny communities where you really do see some uh a pursuit of the common good that's in a way very beautiful. The problem is that if they don't have some coercive power at least in their own internal communities it'll fall apart almost instantly. There's coercion it's an attempt to live by the gospel but um there's a place in that attempt for for temporal and in fact it seems to be part of what makes us who we are.
