The Will Directs the Intellect
When we sin the will directs the intellect not to consider the badness of the choice that we are making. So we choose the sin under the guise of the good and we are ignorant of the evil willfully. I think that it's more of a positive. The will is directing us to focus on the apparent good in the sinful act. And as a consequence, we ignore the malice of that act.
