Is Astrology the Most Prodigious Social Science?
astrology is an illusion of predictive power that isn't really there. There are no astral connections. There's just gravity and light. If there are seasonable factors affecting whether you get an illness like scitsophrenia, it must be some mechanism like diet or it can't be the stars. It just doesn't seem like it could be true. But by the same token, i would also say we have to approach the social sciences the same way. Maybe sometimes they hit on some truth, but does that really mean that the whole system of claims built up in these social science fields are valid? I think we should approach them with the same sort of scepticism.
