Chaucer's Canterbury Tales

The canterbury tales, as you might know, are a collection of stories that supposedly, were told by by a group of pilgrims who were entertaining each other. So he wrote these in the late 13 hundreds, probably all in the 13 nineties,. He saw this sort of constant movement and flow of people in and out of the town and back and forth to this holy site in canterbury. And it was and he imagined these people he saw telling these these different stories.
