Is There a Real Presence of Spirit on Angel in Real Time?

I think you always wrestle with spiritual questions and spiritual questions in music, at least in lyrics. And that first of all has penetrated into the rest of the music, not just the lyrics on angel in real time. On this album, it's like there is a real presence of spirit in so many different ways. I wanted to try and find God or find whatever version of him made sense to me in the music using whatever transcendent tones or chords or whatever I could. It's a struggle and an intimate thing where I just want to hear and feel the thing that stays with me. As I get older, they're often dark and shadowy because there's darkness in me and there's darkness
