The Origins of Plato

We never find a theory of forms in Plato. In fact, we never find Plato at all. His name appears only three times in the dialogues. He was the first known philosopher to talk about philosophy under that name calling it philosophya. The school he founded has been considered the West's first institution of higher learning.
