NVIDIA's Acquisition of Arm Holdings

NVIDIA announced that it was buying arm holdings. The British microprocessor giant for 40 billion US dollars. Arm has a peculiar business model: It doesn't manufacture anything. Instead, it licenses its technology to other companies who use arm's intellectual property or IPs in their own offerings of chips and microprocessors. As of February 2020, over 160 billion chips with ARM IP have been shipped worldwide.
