Not all goals are the same in how they satisfy the will to power. What ascending life really is is taking on higher and higher goals, right? Plenty of goals can take place within nihilism. And that's what nita argues in the case of christian and particularly like the value system of the ascetic priests. The problem here being that our moral intuitions tell us to exalt that which is selfless and unegotistical - even though a sober look at human psychology indicates there's no unselfish actions or motivations.
