The ancient world had a certain amount of ambivolence about suicide. Plato said, don't do it. Aristotle said, don't done it. And seneca and socrates are both thought of as famous suicides. But they were compelled by government. They could appreciate this kind of gesture. Many scholars have seen jesus as a suicidet says in john a, no one takes my life a jesus says, noone my life. I lay it down myself. The communitarian is what struck me first. We believe that we need each other....
