Until relatively recently, we really thought that ADHD looked like the boys. Girls in general often have an inattentive type. They're missing instructions and they might be daydreaming. And it may well be that you're not overtly very fidgety, but you're internally restless. It's making you feel uncomfortable, so you're being missed then.
It’s estimated that 1 million women in the UK could have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder – but according to the ADHD Foundation, 50% to 75% of them do not know they have it. So why are women being left behind?
