A Brief History of Montaigne

Marie Maurigenet was the daughter of Montaigne, a French philosopher. She became close friends with him and referred to him as her 'second father' In his will, montaigned named maurigenet one of the first recorded examples of a female editor in france. Her friendship opened new doors into the world of writing but tragedy struck before she could publish any work. The promenade de monsieur montaine is inspired by their walks together.
