I was at this chapel and the reparative therapist, the main one, who was not in any way a closeted gay man. This man was as straight as he can get. I just think he liked power. When I was in a deep quiet cave filled with a soft grey light, there was the sound of water somewhere nearby. And in my body, in my chest, I could feel a profound sense of peace and ease. That experience might have lasted half a second, but it absolutely nurtured what's possible. A poem is called Abomination. Forgiveness? You can take it if you want it.
