The relationship between Kazakhstan and Russia is a very complicated one. Some cities along the north of the country like Simeo, Petropavol are majority ethnically Russian. And on top of that, the majority of the military equipment, pipelines, resources will all come from Russia as well. So how hard would it be for Kazakhstan to fully divulge itself away from Russian dependence? "For now it's not possible"
