At 33, I wrote a blog post about what I wanted for myself at 40. My goal was to work for seven years in the corporate America and make as much money as I could. It actually didn't turn out that way because I ended up quitting my job when I got pregnant with my third child. And so I changed course. But even though I didn't reach my financial independence number that I wanted, I'm living that life now without the numbers necessarily,. Without the millions of dollars in the bank, but I'm still able to live this life of freedom.
