Investing in US Dollars Is a Good Idea
The Aussie dollar has been on a drip since it was at 105, maybe seven years ago. So this is a situation where being unhedged would be advantageous for a portfolio. If you're exposed to companies that make profit in the US or stocks themselves are in US dollars, then the value of your asset or return is likely to increase just by nature of the weakness of the Australian dollar. Even just sitting cash in your stake account doesn't even have to be invested. You've just got to make sure you know why you're doing it.
