Growth vs Value - What's the Difference?

It is an age-old investing dilemma, growth versus value. But these days, we can't even agree what the difference is. Take meta, for example, the stock formerly known as Facebook. S&P now classifies meta as 100% value. And Exxon, classic value play? Think again. S&p says it's entirely a growth stock now. So what gives?
