Standardization Kills Diversity
Poland has lost a lot of its dialectal diversity in favor of standard Polish. Hokkien as a rule just doesn't seem as standardized, right? And it's not. There are some textbooks, but that textbook does not make a standard, right? Even between textbooks, you will find different words and different grammatical structures being taught.
