How to Build a Job Outside of the Family Business
The study seemed to show that a job outside of the family business, a real job is the best predictor of post high school success. For those children who are capable of holding down a job, if they've had a paid job in high school, that's the number one predictor. But not everybody's going to have a job and not every community has jobs for kids. If that's not available or your child's not capable of it, you can still get creative and find either a volunteer position or create a way for your child to contribute something.
