The Pandemic and the US Economy

The world economy is a perfect illustration of what people mean when they talk about complex systems. Relatively small perturbations, that one port that was closed for a handful of covert cases can then have these global ramifications. I remember being struck during the pandemic by just the sheer number of packages that were being delivered to the united states of products made in china. John's a great free trader, so am i, and i guess we alway expected it to end in tears. But in some ways it ended ow even more spectacularly than than i i'd foreseen.
